Have we ever been at a time in recent history where the majority of food that is advertised to us is healthy? I think we all know the answer to this. We have been marketing harmful substances to mostly uneducated and poor people for at least the past 100 years or so give or take. The substance that has turned more people into addicts during this time hands down would be sugar.
There is more added sugar in virtually every box or can of food that is processed and put on grocery shelves every single day. Another big additive would also be salt. The next biggest push throughout the last 100 years is to keep people addicted to cigarettes and alcoholic beverages.
These are all items that you will almost never see rich smart people ingesting because it will only take away from their years of earning power. I’m sure Warren Buffett never smoked or drank on a regular basis for most of his life.
I see pictures of him eating an ice cream but who doesn’t love an occasional ice cream from time to time. Point is that I’m sure he never overdid a lot of foods that were high in salt and sugar either. The guy is 90 and I’m sure that is for very good reason in that he knew the value of taking care of himself.
The main reason that brought me to writing this article was because of the ad that I saw on TV. It reached out and slapped me in the face on how bad corporations have gotten in staking their claim on as much profit as they possibly can have.
It was one of the unhealthiest snack foods that there is, and it showed some sort of influencer eating only one while in her sexy dress and with a slender body telling the audience how delicious this snack is.
Truth of the matter is that it likely was the first and last bite of this unhealthy morsel that she will ever have in order to keep her relatively slender figure in shape. These snacks packaged by the millions and sent to grocery stores all around the world are bought by people that have been deceptively influenced by the influencer.
These types of items in the past have been so inexpensive so that mostly poor and uneducated people would gravitate to these as an empty calorie snack. The sad part about this is that these types of items are making people everywhere sick.
