Instagram used to be a great place for growing your presence organically. But things have changed since Meta, formerly known as Facebook, took over. Now, Instagram seems more focused on pushing ads and sponsored content. In this piece, I’ll talk about how Instagram has changed and discuss if it’s still possible to grow organically. I’ll also share some tips for succeeding in this new landscape, especially as we are at the end of 2023 and head into 2024.

We’re constantly bombarded with stories of overnight growth and viral sensations that seem to skyrocket to success in the blink of an eye. But the truth is, those stories are the exception, not the general rule.

In the world of organic growth, things move at a different pace. It’s a gradual process that requires determination and a long-term mindset. You need to be willing to put in the work, day in and day out, without expecting immediate results.

It took me six months of consistent daily posting and active engagement with Instagram users to progress from 0 to 5,000 followers.
