This case study explores the implementation and results of an unboxing campaign carried out by Gravity Game Tech, a leading online game company. The campaign aimed to generate excitement among core gamers for the brand’s 3rd anniversary event, and create a positive brand association.
The primary objectives of the Mysterious Box of Ragnarok campaign were to create an interactive and immersive experience for gamers, encouraging them to share their unboxing moments on social media platforms. Also, to foster brand loyalty by delivering high-quality packaging, personalized touches and surprise elements.
Our vendor designed custom packaging that reflected the brand’s aesthetics and conveyed a premium feel. The packaging incorporated the Ragnarok logo, vibrant colors, and unique patterns to grab attention and create anticipation.
Each box included surprise elements within the packaging such as a magnetic Smart Desk in faux leather, an item code, a set of collectible Ragnarok keyboard caps, a character coaster, a set of cards and a screened character t-shirt. These aimed to create a sense of delight and added value for both brand and customers.
First batches were hand-delivered to YouTube and Facebook gaming influencers who shared reactions of themselves unboxing the Mysterious Boxes while live-streaming.
The conversations included premium packaging, personalized touches and surprise elements, further generating excitement among their followers and potential customers.
The campaign resulted in a significant increase in brand engagement across social media platforms. Chatters indicated a highly positive response to the unboxing experience. The personalized touches and premium feels added an extra layer of excitement, motivating fans to actively promote the brand and to the extend, the Ragnarok’s 3rd anniversary party.
