So, many of us go the extra mile and sometimes cross into the abyss. I’ve read news of people falling off skyscrapers looking for that perfect shot or being mangled by sharks while chasing the perfect story to post on their blog or Facebook.
So today, I’d like to explore the clash between our hunger for views and the nagging question of ethics, all while trying to keep our creativity intact. Is there a limit between being daringly bold and staying true to who we are?
The backdrop to my story is the recent news about a YouTuber who’s been stirring up quite the storm. You might have heard his name bouncing around lately.
His strategy was not just controversial. It left me wondering: How far would we go for those online views?
A rather unconventional attention-grabbing move
The man gifted a Lamborghini worth an estimated €270,000, to his wife after she had sex with another man and recorded the scene.
Then he shared a video on Instagram and TikTok of his wife’s reaction to being presented with the luxury car.
Afterward, he went to Elon Musk’s platform and described how fantastic this move had been for his wife’s career and their business.
The couple had been together for seven years and got married back in May. The influencer pointed out that he felt some jealousy when he learned that his wife would participate in a porn video, but came to accept the idea.
